Description

The Atlanta Roundtable of the CSCMP is lucky to have Major General Thomas Kane (Ret.) give a discussion on his lengthy experience in Supply Chain with the US Air Force. General Kane brings his 30+ years of experience in leadership to our Roundtable to deliver the compelling story of his career, some of his most difficult logistical missions around the world, and what lessons in a lifetime of service he’s learned that apply to all of us. Veterans and Active Military are offered a free registration for this event (please use code ATL19-VET)

General Kane entered the Air Force in June 1974 as a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy. He initially served as a T-37 instructor pilot and academic instructor. He has held numerous key operational leadership positions. His commands include two airlift wings, a group and two squadrons. The general also served as the Air Mobility Command Inspector General and as the Deputy Director, Reaction Force Air Staff, Allied Command Europe (NATO) in Kalkar, Germany. General Kane’s final assignment was Director of Strategic Plans, Requirements and Programs, Headquarters Air Mobility Command, Scott Air Force Base, Ill. He has also served as Deputy Chief of Staff, United Nations Command and U.S. Forces Korea, Yongsan Army Garrison, South Korea, and as the U.S. member of the UNC Military Armistice Commission. He interacted with UNC and Neutral Nations Supervisory Commission liaison groups from 19 nations, and he supervised UNC (Rear) headquarters at Camp Zama, Japan.
